The following entry can be seen in the log file: Client error: Insufficient system resources exist to complete the requested service
The error is relayed by Veeam Backup & Replication from the underlying Windows OS.
As the underlying Windows OS is reporting this error, consider the following: Ensure that the recommended system requirements are met for Veeam component servers. Reboot the component server that produced the error. If the issue persists, collect logs and create a Veeam Support case.
Previously this article advised customers to review a Microsoft document titled, "Backup program is unsuccessful when you back up a large system volume." This has been removed as a solution because the information in that Microsoft article is only relevant to Windows Server 2012 R2.
