Before installing Dell PowerMax Plug-In v1.1.6, ensure that you are running Veeam Backup & Replication 12 or newer. To check the version, open the Main Menu (≡) in the Veeam Backup & Replication Console and select Help > About. Dell PowerMax Plug-In v1.1.6 supports integration with the following storage systems: Dell PowerMax/VMAX All Flash (PowerMaxOS microcode 5978.711.711 or later 5978 family updates) Unisphere for PowerMax 10.1.0.0 or later patched version. Follow detailed instructions on configuring the Dell PowerMax Plug-in and the storage system in the Dell Technologies documentation.
Added support for Unisphere for PowerMax 10.1.0.0 Provides stability and performance improvements.
The following is a list of known major issues for Dell PowerMax Plug-In for Veeam Backup & Replication. Dell PowerMax Plug-In v1.1.6 does not support Unisphere for PowerMax 9.x. For Unisphere for PowerMax 9.x, use Dell PowerMax Plug-In v1.0.90 instead. Dell PowerMax Plug-In does not support adding two Unisphere servers with the same array(s) as "local". Doing so will cause issues with discovery and can lead to undesirable results. In large environments, selecting volumes from infrastructure while adding storage to Veeam Backup & Replication might take considerable time. In this case, it is recommended to use wildcards in the volume selection dialog to reduce the number of volumes to be scanned. Dell PowerMax Plug-In does not support backing up of failover clusters using Veeam Agent for Microsoft Windows.
