Symptom
When F=10Hz, A=10us Wander is injected on the SyncE selection input for the timing reference on ASR9K, it's observed that the timing reference goes to "Holdover" for some time and then it goes back to "Locked" for some time and then to "Holdover" again. It keeps switching back and forth between "Holdover" and "Locked".
However, when it switches back to "Locked" from "Holdover", the actual reading from DS3100 T0 PLL state is "Prelocked-2".
Conditions
- This behavior is observed on both RSP2 and RSP3.
- Wander signal F=10Hz, A=10us
- No External timing sources (No BITS-IN on Sync0 & Sync1)
- Only one SyncE reference is available for selection input
Workaround
Use "show controllers timing pll status" instead to retrieve the true state for a timing reference.
