Symptom

An OSPF hello-timer of 10 seconds is configured on an interface which has been configured as NBMA. Now the NBMA configuring is removed and added then the hello-timer on the interface is set to 40 seconds even though the configured value is 10 seconds.

Conditions

The hello-timer configured is same as the default broadcast hello timer - 10 seconds

Workaround

Remove and configure ospf hello-timer again Use a hello-timer different than the default broadcast hello-timer - 10 seconds
