Symptom
The Polaris routing platforms will go for reload if standby card with non-polaris image is inserted into the chassis when active is running with Polaris image (Vice- Versa also true).
Conditions
The active should be running with Polaris and insert standby card with non-polaris image. The chasis will go for reload (Vice also is true).
Workaround
No workarounds. Both the RPs needs to be booted with same image (either Polaris or Non-Polaris). Also if there is a need to insert a new card into the running system, make sure that card is compatible (both running with either Polaris or non-Polaris image). If cards are loaded with different version make sure to load the card with right image.
Further Problem Description
With the fix in polaris, this issue shouldnt be seen. The fix is committed to all throttles so that future released build wont have this issue.
