Symptom

When the CVR-QSFP-SFP10G converter is used on the M3 card with a 10 gig SFP, the interface stays in (Link not connected) status.

Conditions

Device - Nexus 7700 NX-OS - 8.2(2), 8.3(2) Module - N77-M324FQ-25L QSA - CVR-QSFP-SFP10G SFP - 10Gbase-SR cisco vendor id is V03

Workaround

Customer was able to get the CVR-QSFP-SFP10G converter with a 10 gig SFP working by using a breakout configuration on the interface.

Further Problem Description

CVR-QSFP-SFP10G converter is mentioned as supported on the data sheet for N77-M324FQ-25L, release notes and TMG compatibility matrix. Nowhere, it mentions that you need to configure breakout to use the ports as 10G
