Symptom
The 8500l device begins experiencing consistent FIAerr drops with a significant amount of flows. The output of the command "show platform hardware qfp active fbd-flowdb statistics" indicates that there are allocation failures occurring. Poor flow distribution to the PPEs is common in situations that lead to these specific instances of the drops.
Conditions
This bug can only occur on c8500l devices. More than one millions flows must be going through the device as well. FIAerr drops will occur at lower flow counts if the distribution of flows is more weighted towards one or a few PPE's.
Workaround
There are no workarounds for the issue. The drops will occur unless the flow count is reduced.
