The Symmetrix Service Processor or MMCS is not communicating with the Symmetrix
Cause
GENERALLY this occurs when any of the MMCS reboots.If any MMCS becomes unresponsive or stopped responding, so on it tries to self-recover it and fixes the issue. This message is expected and is by design.If a manual reboot is performed by a PSE, the same alert message appears in Unisphere for PowerMax or symevent list.
Resolution
Run Unisphere for PowerMax Health Check.Select the array > SYSTEM HEALTH > Actions RUN HEALTH CHECK
If it comes clean, the error is recovered and no further action is required.If it fails for any of the Tests, raise a service request with PSE Lab for further troubleshooting.
NOTE: If this alert is too frequent raise a service request with PSE Lab for further troubleshooting.
