Symptoms

Data Protection Central shows Avamar as not reporting. When you reactivate Avamar in Data Protection Central UI, the audit tab shows the following error: Exception: Failed to config message broker – Algorithm not allowable in FIPS140 mode: PBE/PKCS12/SHA1/RC2/CBC/40 [Exception: Failed to config message broker -- Algorithm not allowable in FIPS140 mode: PBE/PKCS12/SHA1/RC2/CBC/40]

Cause

This is a known issue with Avamar after applying Avamar Security Rollup 2023 R2V5. This known issue is causing the error in Data Protection Central.
