Cause
Intel has stated that the issue is caused by elevated operating voltage stemming from a microcode algorithm resulting in incorrect voltage requests to the processor. For Intel’s statement, see: July 2024 Update on Instability Reports on Intel Core 13th and 14th Gen Desktop Processors.
Resolution
Intel delivered a microcode update that Dell engineering has incorporated into computer BIOS updates for all identified computer models. These BIOS updates posted to the Dell Support Website August 16, 2024 and September 26, 2024 to maintain stability of the processors. Dell highly recommends updating your computer to the latest BIOS containing the updated Intel microcode.
