OpenManage Enterprise 4.3: Filtered firmware components in the compliance report are applied to targets causing unexpected restarts

Symptoms

Unexpected restarts of target devices occur if the firmware compliance report is filtered by using the 'Reboot Required' filter and all items are selected. The resulting 'make compliant' task installs all non-compliant firmware rather than those filtered by the 'Reboot Required' filter.

Cause

The 'Reboot Required' filter is not honored when selecting all items in the compliance report view. The result is a make compliant task that installs all non-compliant firmware components regardless of their reboot requirement.

Resolution

OpenManage Enterprise 4.3.1, available January 18, 2025, includes the fix and replaces version 4.3.0. The recommendation is to update as soon as possible. Important: Delete any pending, scheduled firmware update jobs that were created in OpenManage Enterprise 4.3.0 using the method described above. If necessary, re-create the jobs after upgrading to version 4.3.1.
