Symptoms
You see this task every 1~20 seconds in the vCenter Server recent tasks window: Recompute virtual disk digest The issue occurs when Storage Accelerator has been enabled in View Admin GUI and also on vCenter ServerIn the Composer logs, you see these entries appears frequently every 1~20 seconds:

Cause

This issue occurs due to one of these reasons:
When there is a missing virtual machines folder or a missing digest VMDK file from one of the desktops VM folder.When the storage accelerator is enabled on a pool, all desktops in that pool will have an extra digest VMDK file that acts as metadata for dirty storage blocks in which the machine's data is stored in.
Resolution
Disable Digest on the Pool.Investigate the reason for the delay in the digest process on the storage level.
