How to enable Spam reporting feature in Boxer?
Resolution
To enable the Spam Feature in Boxer, you need to set KVP values in Boxer:
To set the email address where Spam emails will be sent to please use the below KVP
Key: AppSpamForwardAddress (string)Value: spam@email.com
To delete the email from the user’s device after forwarding please use the below KVP
Key: PolicyDeleteOnSpamForward (bool)Value: true (default is false)
These 2 Keys were introduced from Version 5.7. This will only work when a user marks an email as spam they would expect the spammed email get forwarded to a specific email address and the original email get deleted. Any external email coming as Spam will not be treated under this feature and will be available in the Junk Folder.
Note: If you have any email in Boxer that is manually marked as spam, you will notice the following things:
Mail reported as spamNext, you will see the email getting deleted and landed on Deleted ItemsAfter this, you can see the email marked as SPAM forwarded to the KVP entered under AppSpamForwardAddress. You won't see any emails in Sent Items of Boxer as this is designed.
In order to have the Junk Folder email as well moved to the AppSpamForwardAddress, then go to Junk Folder > Select the Email > Move to any Folder under Boxer > then follow the same step mentioned above. As soon as you mark the email as Spam, it will redirect that to AppSpamForwardAddress following with deletion of the email from the Boxer.
