Symptoms
When you select [Settings] - [Certificate Management] in Horizon Console, the message "Unable to process the request. Please try again" is displayed. The Horizon Connection Server is not standalone and has replica servers and an upgrade is in process at the time of occurrence. (For example, one broker is Horizon Connection Server 2306 and a replica is temporarily on a different version)There are no problems with VDI provisioning or user connections. There are no problems with the certificate itself, such as expiration, and the upgrade is performed from an appropriate state.
Purpose
The "Certificate Management" item is implemented since Horizon 2212.When there are more than 2 connection servers in your environment and one of them is upgraded to Horizon Connection Server 2212 or a later version, these Connection Server versions are mixed during the upgrade process. Therefore, a temporary inconsistency will occur. For example, there are 2 Connection Server and if you upgrade from Horizon 2111.1 to Horizon 2306, one of the Connection Server which is upgraded to Horizon 2306 has "Certificate Management", but another one which is Horizon 2111.1 does not have "Certificate Management".In this case, there is no data in the ADAM of the Connection Server 2111.1, and data has been added to the ADAM of the Connection Server 2306 and then a temporary inconsistency will occur. This causes this problem to occur in the “Certificate Management” item.
Resolution
Complete the Connection Server Upgrade for all replicas in the Pod VMware Horizon 8 Upgrade Overview
