The earliest recollection of this bug is traced back to PAN-OS 9.1.8 - July 29, 2024. This bug is fixed in PAN-OS versions 9.1.8. ( PA-3200 Series firewalls only ) Fixed an issue where the firewall processed internal path monitoring packets more slowly than expected when processing large amounts of traffic, which caused the dataplane to restart.
