Check if the printer is using a genuine and supported Xerox Toner Cartridge. Make sure that the toner cartridge is not damage or leaking. Clean the waste toner bottle contacts. Check if the printer is set as meter or sold. Before inputting code to convert machine to metered, confirm if device is currently on metered contract by calling metered supplies group If metered supplies state this serial number is not on metered contract, then this machine only accepts sold toner If metered supplies indicate this serial number is metered, then agent can proceed to input the metered conversion code as long as the current plan status in the printer's web server indicates " sold " if plan status indicates " neutral " then the machine will " learn " the metered configuration at first install of metered cartridge after starter has depleted and no conversion code would be necessary If plan status indicates " sold " then at this point the machine can be converted to metered using the code as long as metered supplies states it is supposed to be metered if plan status says metered then the device was already converted or " learned " the metered configuration. Log in as System Administrator on the printer's control panel For more information, refer to Log in as System Administrator Press the Device icon. Select Tools . Select Device Settings. Scroll down and select the Supplies group. Check the current plan status to see if it indicates ' Metered ' or ' Sold '.
