C9400 16.6.4 Sup and line card may get into faulty state (show mod) after reload, if high CPU kicks in during POST. High CPU can be triggered by "copy start run", but it may not be limited to just this command. We do not see any issue if the high CPU kicks in after POST. Root/cause is different from CSCvj94357, as we don't see any policer drops here. A reload of switch can recover from faulty state, not a bad hardware. Two issues we see here that need to be addressed by this defect- > "copy startup-config running-config" causing high CPU > "show module" shows all cards status as "OK", even though the cards are still booting up. High CPU while the switch is running POST. There is NO drops in CPU policer - sh pl hard fed active qos queue stats internal cpu policer
A reload of switch can recover from faulty state. Avoid running any command on switch while running POST after reload, that can trigger high CPU.
