Symptom
A Catalyst 9800 WLC may unexpectedly reload, showing the wncd process crashing. On the syslogs, or tracelogs from the wncd process, we may see FATAL level messages like the following:
"Obj create failed while trying to create radar record"
"Radar record insertion failed"
The WLC will generate system reports at the time of the reload, containing a core file from the WNCD process. If this bug is suspected, provide this system report to TAC to have it decoded and matched.
Conditions
Observed when RRM report is received and WLC is deleting APs, sending and RRM report. This was initially observed in scale scenarios when lots of APs are disconnected at the same time.
TAC may also decode the WNCD core file and verify the internal stack trace has the same signature as the one on this bug.
