Symptom
Msglog flooded with following warnings on the controller
"Sep 13 12:09:40.478: [WARNING] apf_policy.c 4551: Either Vlan Name id Template invalid or
no name to id mapping exist for interface '10'"
Conditions
We are getting concerned warnings in the msglog, when using VLAN ID override and no Flex VLAN template configuration, with VLAN name ID mapping, exists on the controller
Workaround
Use VLAN name override, wherein ISE pushes a VLAN name instead of an ID and configure Flex-connect VLAN template on the controller with proper VLAN name-ID mappings
Further Problem Description
We are getting concerned warnings in the msglog, when using VLAN ID override and no Flex VLAN template configuration, with VLAN name ID mapping, exists on the controller
However, If ISE is pushing VLAN ID as an attribute instead of interface/VLAN name, there is no requirement to have VLAN name template configured on the controller.
Hence, in this scenario, where we are pushing VLAN ID from ISE, the expectation is not to get these warnings
These messages don't have any operational impact but might cause inconvenience in some cases by flooding the syslog server
