Intermittent Static Distortion After Upgrading Realtek 8723DE Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Driver

Symptoms

An intermittent static sound may be heard while playing any type of media or conferencing software such as YouTube, MP3 files, Microsoft teams, and so on. The sound emits no matter what type of speaker used including stereo speakers plugged directly into the computer's sound card, USB headsets, or USB speakers. Cause

The root cause is due to the Realtek 8723DE Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Driver version 2024.0.10.131. If WLAN is disabled, the intermittent static sound does not occur.

Resolution

Uninstall the Realtek 8723DE Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Driver version 2024.0.10.131 from the computer and install the Realtek 8723DE Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Driver version 2024.0.10.120. To download and install the driver, reference How to Download and Install Dell Drivers.
