An HPE Edgeline EL8000 Converged Edge System Chassis Manager Command Line Interface (CLI) allows the user to input incorrect values and syntax while performing network settings for IPv4 and IPv6.
This will cause the information in the network configuration file to become invalid.
For example, for the IPv6 CLI command:
set network <static ipv6> 64 <gateway ipv6> (this is incorrect)
set network6 <static ipv6> 64 <gateway ipv6> (this is correct)
Scope
Any HPE EL8000 Converged Edge System.
Resolution
Re-run the network setting commands from the CLI with correct values and syntax.
This will fix the network configuration file.
