Any HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen10 server, HPE Synergy 480 Gen9 and Synergy 480 Gen10 compute modules running Citrix Hypervisor 8.x or Red Hat Enterprise Linux/CentOS 7.x or 8.x and configured with an NVIDIA vGPU will experience Uncorrectable Machine Check Exception (UMCE) errors on shutdown and/or reboot.
The following is an example of the error that may be seen (Bus, Device, Function addresses may change depending on where the NVIDIA GPUs are installed):
Uncorrectable PCI Express Error Detected. Slot 255 (Segment 0x0, Bus 0x5D, Device 0x40, Function 0x0). 02/25/2020 22:50:36 1
Uncorrectable Machine Check Exception (Processor 1, APIC ID 0x00000000, Bank 0x00000006, Status 0xFB800000'00000E0B, Address 0x00000000'00000000, Misc 0x00000000'5B000000). 02/25/2020 22:49:16 1
Uncorrectable Error Detected on the Previous Boot. Error information logged to the Integrated Management Log. 02/25/2020 22:49:16 1
Scope
Any of the following systems running Citrix Hypervisor 8.x or Red Hat Enterprise Linux/CentOS 7.x or 8.x, and configured with an NVIDIA vGPU:
HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen10 server
HPE Synergy 480 Gen9 Compute Module
HPE Synergy 480 Gen10 Compute Module

This issue has been resolved in NVIDIA vGPU software 10.3 as documented
