Any HPE Gen10 server platform configured with any of the HPE Smart Array SR Gen10 Controllers that are part of the HPE ConvergedSystem 700, HPE ConvergedSystem 700x or HPE ConvergedSystem 750 solutions (outlined in the Scope section below) with firmware versions 1.98 through 2.62, is required to perform the firmware upgrades detailed in the Resolution in order to prevent potential data inconsistency on selected RAID configurations. To prevent this issue, download and update the HPE Smart Array SR Gen10 Controller firmware version 2.65 with VMware Driver version 1.0.4.3008 on HPE Gen10 platforms. Follow the below steps to update the solutions. Perform the following steps to determine and download the corresponding HPE Smart Array SR Gen10 Controller driver and firmware versions: 1. Review the following table to determine whether smartpqi component (driver and firmware) upgrade is required or not. Note: In the table, a highlighted driver or firmware version indicates a recommended upgrade. 2. Determine the smartpqi driver and firmware versions installed. On HPE ProLiant DL-series, HPE ProLiant BL-series and HPE Synergy platforms, use HPE Integrated Lights-Out (iLO) to determine the installed versions. The firmware and software version will be seen under the HPE iLO Firmware & OS Software page. 3. Use the above table to determine "New smartpqi-driver version" needed. If an upgrade is recommended, download and upgrade the driver (On ProLiant DL/BL and Synergy) using the following links: HPE Smart Array Controller Driver for VMware ESXi 6.5 HPE Smart Array Controller Driver for VMware ESXi 6.7 Note : Update the driver on the server using either the VUM or the ESXi CLI method. 4. Use the above table to determine "New smartpqi-FW version" needed. If an upgrade is recommended for HPE ProLiant DL-series, HPE ProLiant BL-series and HPE Synergy platforms, download and upgrade the firmware using the following links: HPE Smart Array Online ROM Flash Component for VMware ESXi HPE Smart Array Online ROM Flash Component for Linux HPE Smart Array Online ROM Flash Component for Windows Note: Add them as a hotfix to the Service Pack for ProLiant (SPP) of the solution SWFW Compatibility Matrix to create a Custom SPP.
