As a workaround, use either of the following procedures to update drives attached to the Intel VROC: Procedure 1: Boot to the Service Pack for ProLiant (SPP) ISO using iLO Virtual media Mount the Service Pack for ProLiant (SPP) ISO using iLO Virtual media. Boot to the Service Pack for ProLiant (SPP). Update the firmware of the drives. Note: The first procedure applies when the firmware of the drives needed is part of the Service Pack for ProLiant (SPP). If this is not the case, use the second procedure. OR Procedure 2: ProLiant servers can be updated using the "Custom Pack for Gen10 Plus/Gen11/Gen12 ProLiant for Intel VROC Platforms" either by Online Mode or Offline Mode Online Mode: This can be performed by running remotely a Microsoft Windows or Linux hosted Operating System. It can be also run directly from a Server running a Linux Operating System. Execute the launch_sum.bat (windows) or launch_sum.sh (Linux) script which is found in the root of the .iso image. Add the baseline if it is not added. Add the node (The system which is under test). Click on inventory in the baseline library page. Once the inventory completes, perform the review and deploy of the components. Reboot the server once the deployment has been completed. Offline Mode: The .iso image is used to boot the server. Offline Mode supports Automatic & Interactive modes Automatic mode: Firmware components will be updated without any user interaction. Automatic mode will run firmware update by default without any user interaction after waiting 10 seconds at the menu screen when an .iso image is used to boot the server.
