During a firmware update using VMware Upgrade Pack with vSphere Lifecycle Manager (vLCM) and HPE OneView for VMware vCenter (OV4VC) 10.1, the HPE Synergy/ProLiant Gen10 servers on VMware ESXi 7.x may stop responding during POST with a Red Screen of Death (RSOD) message:

In OneView for VMware vCenter 10.1, the session will expire with the iLO client while trying to get the status of the remediation process.
In the support dump, the following example may be found:

Scope
HPE OneView for VMware vCenter (OV4VC) 10.1 when using VMware Upgrade Pack with vSphere Lifecycle Manager (vLCM) to complete a firmware update for HPE Synergy/ProLiant Gen10 servers on VMware ESXi 7.x.
Resolution
This issue is fixed in
HPE OneView for VMware vCenter (OV4VC) 10.2
. Upgrade to OneView for VMware vCenter 10.2 or later to fix this issue.
