Document Version Release Date Details 2 December 13, 2021 Updated the Resolution with the permanent fix of HPE OneView 6.4 or later. 1 July 29, 2021 Original Document Release. When using the IP pools or manual IP addressing in HPE OneView, it is possible for the OneView IP address or maintenance IP addresses to be assigned to an HPE Integrated Lights-Out (iLO) or interconnect that is managed by OneView. This can occur in the following scenarios: An IP pool is created that contains the OneView IP address or maintenance IP addresses in that IP pool range and that IP pool is used in an enclosure group. When editing a logical enclosure and manually assigning the OneView IP address or one of the maintenance IP addresses to an iLO or interconnect. If the OneView IP address or maintenance IP addresses are assigned to another device, this can cause OneView to be inaccessible over the network.
HPE OneView for Synergy with HPE Synergy Composer.
This issue is corrected by upgrading to HPE OneView 6.4 or later. If the HPE OneView IP address or maintenance address has been assigned to another device, connect to OneView using the HPE Synergy Console (front panel interface) and reconfigure the IP pool or individual device to use an IP address other than the OneView IP or maintenance IP addresses. To prevent the OneView IP address or maintenance IP addresses from being assigned, an IP range that contains those IP addresses can be configured and disabled. The steps below detail this process. In the following example, the OneView IP address is 10.160.165.10 and the maintenance IP addresses are 10.160.165.11 and 10.160.165.12, as displayed: Select "Actions/Edit" from Settings/Addresses and Identifiers. Click the "pencil" icon to edit the subnet that contains the OneView IP address and maintenance IP addresses. Click the "Add address range" box to add an IP range. Enter the starting and ending range that contains the OneView IP address and maintenance IP addresses and click "Add:" NOTE : If the OneView IP address or maintenance IP addresses are non-contiguous, additional IP address ranges can be added by clicking on the "IP Addresses" box below the first set of IP addresses. Click "Update" and then "Ok" to exit the Edit dialog. Select Actions/Edit from Settings/Addresses and Identifiers again. Click the arrow next to "Address Ranges" and unselect "Enabled" checkbox next to the IP range that was added in the steps above and click "Ok". The IP range will now show as disabled and the IP addresses in that IP range cannot be assigned to other devices: RECEIVE PROACTIVE UPDATES : Receive support alerts (such as Customer Advisories), as well as updates on drivers, software, firmware, and customer replaceable components, proactively in your e-mail through HPE Support Alerts.
