On any of the HPE Gen10 servers mentioned in the Scope section below, deploying the NVMe Backplane PIC Windows or Linux firmware smart component from iLO may fail with the error message "The file signature is invalid."
This will also occur when an update is triggered from OneView because the component is added to the installset.

HPE ProLiant XL170r Gen10 Server.
HPE ProLiant XL190r Gen10 Server.
HPE ProLiant XL230k Gen10 Server.

Resolution
This issue has been resolved with the
1.24(b) version
of the Gen10 NVMe Backplane PIC Firmware.
