An HPE OneView for VMware vCenter (OV4VC) plug-in installed in vCenter may fail to open the Certificate Management, displaying the following error message:
"
Session validation error: Failed to retrieve IP address for vc:xxxx.xxxx.com
"
When this occurs, OneView cannot be added to the HPE OneView for VMware vCenter plug-in because the credentials screen is empty.

Scope
Any server running the HPE OneView for VMware vCenter (OV4VC) 11.x plug-in installed on VMware vCenter 7.0 (or later).
Resolution
Add the correct "Forward Lookup" and "Reverse Lookup" Pointer (PTR) records for vCenter, OneView, HPE OneView for VMware vCenter (OV4VC) on the Domain Name System (DNS).
Note:
If it is required to bypass the proxy, add the FQDNs/IP Addresses to NO_PROXY in the vCenter /etc/sysconfig/proxy file.
