This is a general availability (GA) patch release for the following HPE MSA Storage systems: HPE MSA 1060 Storage System HPE MSA 2060 Storage System HPE MSA 2062 Storage System NOTE : HPE recommends upgrading HPE MSA 1060, 2060, and 2062 Storage systems to firmware version IN210R004. It is also recommended to upgrade other application software that may be compatible. Version IN210R004 supersede information: Firmware version IN110P002 - Recommended Update Firmware version IN110P001 - Recommended Update Firmware version IN110R001 - Recommended Update Firmware version IN100P003 - Critical Update Firmware version IN100P001 - Recommended Update Firmware version IN100R003 - Initial Release The HPE MSA 1060, 2060, and 2062 array controller enclosures support the cascading of disk enclosures. The recommended HPE MSA 2060 Disk Enclosure firmware is 536A. Firmware updates can be aligned to the bundle by reapplying the firmware that is already on the controller. Refer to the HPE MSA 1060/2060/2062 Storage Management Guide for instructions on applying firmware. HPE MSA Notification Best Practices To effectively monitor the health of the HPE MSA array, it is best practice to: Enable notifications through SNMP, email, or syslog settings in the user interfaces. Set the alert notification level to "All" and the notification level to "Warning" to ensure that you are monitoring your system for possible failures. Perform validation of notification settings periodically after firmware load or component replacement to guard against changes in infrastructure or configuration settings. HPE MSA Health Check Tool Maintaining the health of an HPE MSA array ensures that maximal performance is continuously available. Any component of the array that is signaling poor health status can degrade the health of the array and affect array performance. To obtain a complete diagnostic profile of an HPE MSA storage configuration, obtain array logs from the HPE MSA and submit them at the MSA Storage Health Check page on the HPE website. HPE recommends resolving any issues that are found, prior to re-assessing array performance. For information about operating systems supported by the HPE MSA arrays, see the HPE Storage Single Point Of Connectivity Knowledge (SPOCK) website.
