Clear %temp%\HPSUM and %systemdrive%\Windows\Temp\HPSUM (Windows) and /tmp/HPSUM (Linux) directories. Make sure that HP SUM (hpsum_service_x64) is not running. Retry the operation by applying the baseline settings again. If the problem persists, login to the server, open command prompt/shell, change directory to the staging location, execute gatherlogs and collect the HP SUM and HP SUT logs. Contact your authorized support representative with the logs/dump. Any ProLiant server configured with HP Smart Update Tools Version 1.0.0.0.
This issue is resolved with Service Pack for ProLiant 2016.10.0, which contains HP SUM 7.6.0. As a workaround, update the HP SUT to Version 1.0.1 outside the SPP by running the component manually or disable the TPM and use the baseline with HP SUM 7.4.0 (or later).
