Cause

The SSD is not detected due to an SSD DRAM bit flip triggered by an unexpected voltage spike.

Resolution

Updating the Samsung PM9F1 Solid State Drive firmware on the computer resolves the issue. For part numbers 4JY3N (1 TB) and 7818M (2 TB), update to Samsung PM9F1 Solid State Drive firmware version 7732.0409.For part numbers 24YVF (1 TB) and WGDX1 (2 TB), update to Samsung PM9F1 Solid State Drive firmware version 7732.0459.
